Seaford
is a Coastal Town situated mid way between Brighton to the
West and Eastbourne to the East and has about 22000 inhabitants.
Towns by the sea are subject to Sea breezes but here in the South we
also get a very fair share of Sunshine. Seaford Bowling Club was founded in 1912. It is a Private
Club and is located at the junction of Chichester Road and Blatchington
Road. Seaford. East Sussex.
It is an outdoor bowling club with one excellent green and is `home` to
a membership of 145 playing members and also about 30 social members. We
can boast an excellent pavilion and well stocked bar. Indeed
we are an excellent Club.
In
addition to our games against local clubs, we are always pleased to
welcome touring teams based in Brighton or Eastbourne. Overall
about 120 games are played between the end of April, until the finish at
the end of September each year.
We have a
good social side in the `out of season` months, when `Short Mat` is
played indoors, we also run Crib, Domino and Whist evenings.
We do have vacancies whether you are an established bowler or not and
our fees are lower than most.
We are an
integrated Club and our fixtures include many mixed games in addition to
Ladies or Gents matches. There are also many internal competitions and
local league games for those Ladies or Gents who wish to
take part, and we do encourage those members who wish to play at County
or even National Level
Should
you already live in the area or intend to move into Seaford and
wish to join please contact our
Hon
Secretary and he will be pleased to help. There is an
application form available on the
Membership information page
